A coaching method that actually works in real life
Learn a complete anxiety coaching framework you can use with children, teenagers and adults, and build meaningful, paid work from something you care about.
This training is for you if you want:
- A clear, structured method, not just theory or awareness training
- Tools you can use confidently the day after you qualify
- A way to turn lived experience or caring work into meaningful income
"The STILL Method changed my own life first, then gave me the confidence to help others."
Juliet, STILL Coach"That day changed my life. I overcame my own anxiety, supported pupils, then left teaching and launched my own coaching business."
Amanda, Vici Coaching"I had tried other courses but they left me overwhelmed. The STILL Method was different. Practical, structured, and immediately useful."
Jen, STILL Scotland"Becoming a STILL Coach did not just change my work, it changed me. I am happier, more confident, and people notice the difference."
Karen BurgessWhat is the STILL Method?
A complete anxiety coaching framework taught live on Zoom or self-paced online, with mentoring and a licence to use the tools in your own practice. You will learn a structured set of tools, activities and conversations that have already helped thousands of people living with anxiety.
- Children who feel sick before school, freeze in class or cling at the door
- Teenagers who shut down, mask in public and melt down at home
- Adults who live in permanent fight, flight or collapse
Five steps that interrupt the spiral
A framework designed to interrupt spirals, regulate emotions and build lasting change.
STOP
Break the loop of panic or emotional overload
TALK
Explore and gently challenge anxious beliefs
IMAGINE
Build new possibilities, thoughts and choices
LISTEN
Notice what the body is saying and understand regulation
LEARN
Move forwards with new patterns and practical tools
It is a method, a moment and a movement.
You do not need a psychology degree
About half the people who train with us arrive from somewhere else entirely.
Most STILL coaches are parents, teaching assistants, support workers, therapists, or people who have lived with anxiety themselves and want to turn that insight into meaningful work.
What matters is your enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn. We provide the framework, tools and support.
- Career changers who are ready for work that feels more human and values-led
- Parents or carers who want to support others as well as their own family
- Teaching assistants, SEND and pastoral staff, support workers and key workers
- Coaches, counsellors and therapists who want a practical anxiety framework
- People who have lived with anxiety and want to turn that insight into meaningful work
Safeguarding. We complete safeguarding checks, including criminal record checks and references, before you work with clients using the STILL name.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous experience?
No. Some of our best coaches joined with no formal background and have gone on to build thriving practices.
Is this therapy?
The STILL Method is structured coaching and education, not clinical therapy. It is trauma-informed. Many therapists add STILL because it gives them a practical framework.
Can I work with individuals and groups?
Yes. The training prepares you for both 1-to-1 and group work.
How much time do I need?
The live route is four full days. Self-paced lets you spread the modules over weeks or months.
Is there ongoing support?
Yes. Monthly mentoring, team meetings, marketing materials and case advice.
Can I train outside the UK?
Yes. Training is online and we have coaches working internationally.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. Klarna is available at checkout, so you can spread the payment without arranging anything in advance. If you would prefer a longer plan, email train@thestillmethod.org.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you are drawn to work around anxiety, want a clear structure rather than loose ideas, and value a human, compassionate approach, this course is likely to fit you well. The best way to find out is to talk.
Three ways to take this further
You do not have to have it all figured out. You just need to take the next sensible step.
