Anxiety support for children, teens and adults.
When anxiety takes over daily life
You might recognise some of this.
For children and teens
• school mornings turning into battles or shutdown
• tears, anger or silence when it is time to leave the house
• physical symptoms like stomach aches, headaches or feeling sick with no clear medical cause
• avoiding friends, clubs or activities they used to enjoy
• teachers saying they are fine in class while home feels like a storm
For adults
• constant overthinking and dread, even when nothing is obviously wrong
• saying yes then cancelling at the last minute because it feels too much
• lying awake replaying every conversation
• feeling shaky, breathless or on edge for no clear reason
• worrying that you are being dramatic or that you should just pull yourself together
If any of this sounds familiar, anxiety support with the STILL Method can give you and your family tools that match what is really going on in the body and brain, not just surface advice.
What anxiety support with The STILL Method looks like
The STILL Method is a structured way to understand and respond to anxiety. It is built around five pillars
Stop
Interrupt spirals of panic, shutdown or rage in the moment so the person can think again.
Talk
Create safe, honest conversations about fear without shame or pressure to pretend.
Imagine
Picture life beyond anxiety and build tiny steps towards it, at a pace that feels possible.
Listen
Notice what the body is trying to say about safety and threat, instead of treating symptoms as weakness.
Learn
Practise new patterns until they become more natural in daily life.
Support is practical, with tools you can use between sessions. It is compassionate, with no judgement for how you currently cope. It is clear, so you understand what is happening and why.

Support for children and teens
Anxious children are often called dramatic, defiant or lazy. Underneath that is usually a nervous system trying its best to stay safe.
STILL Method anxiety support for children and teens focuses on:
helping them understand what anxiety actually is
giving them simple tools to use in school, at home and with friends
working with parents and carers, not against them
supporting teachers and staff to respond in ways that do not increase fear
We offer:
Support for adults living with anxiety
Adult anxiety is easy to hide. On the outside you may look capable and calm. Inside you may feel on alert all the time.
Our six session STILL Method coaching programme for adults is designed to help you:
understand why your body reacts the way it does
spot the patterns that keep you stuck in worry, avoidance or people pleasing
build a set of tools you can use in real moments of fear
move towards choices that feel more like your life, not your anxiety
Sessions run online or in person with accredited STILL Method coaches.
Support for families, schools and organisations
Anxiety does not sit neatly inside one person. It affects families, classrooms and teams.
If you are:
a parent or carer who needs the whole household to understand anxiety differently
a school or children’s home looking for a shared, trauma informed approach
a workplace noticing anxiety and burnout in staff we can bring STILL Method tools to your setting.
What happens when you reach out
Reaching out for anxiety support can feel like a big step. We keep it as simple and transparent as possible.
You send an enquiry or book a short call
You can use the form on this site, send us a WhatsApp book a call with Stuart, or contact a coach directly through the directory. We listen before we offer options
You can share as much or as little as you want about what is happening. We will ask a few questions about age, situation and practical needs. You are matched with a suitable coach or route
If you want one to one or group sessions, we will suggest a STILL Method coach who fits your needs and location where possible, or an online option. Sometimes the first step might be a workshop or a school based project. You decide what feels right
There is no pressure. We outline options and costs and you decide at your own pace. If we are not the best fit, we will say so clearly.
We do not hold crisis services or an emergency line. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services or relevant crisis support first, then return to us when you feel safe enough to plan longer term help.
Questions people often ask
Q1. Is this therapy
No. The STILL Method is a structured coaching and education approach. Many therapists integrate it into their work, but it does not replace medical or therapeutic care. If we feel you need a different type of support, we will say so.
Q2. Do you work with diagnosed conditions like OCD, autism or ADHD
Yes, many of the people we support are autistic, have ADHD or live with conditions like OCD alongside anxiety. We are careful to work with, not against, the way each brain and body works. We are not a diagnostic service and we do not change or remove any existing clinical plans.
Q3. Can you help with school refusal
In many cases, yes. We look beneath the behaviour to understand what school represents for the young person and what their nervous system is reacting to. Support may involve the child or teen, their family and the school.
Q4. Do you only work online
No. Many coaches work online, but some offer in person sessions in their local area, and STILL programmes also run in schools, community projects and workplaces.
Q5. How much does it cost
Fees vary depending on the coach, location and type of support. Our adult and children programmes usually run over six sessions, and we are open about costs before you commit. In some cases schools, charities or our Community Interest Company may fund places.
